As the UWA Conservatorium of Music’s Faculty Society, one of the Music Students’ Society’s most important functions is enriching the educational experience of its members. To that end, the MSS, under the leadership of its Education Representative, organises many events each year, ranging from workshops with instrument experts and networking events with professional musicians, to online webinars on career development and entrepreneurship.

The Education Representative is also responsible for the advocacy and representation of the Conservatorium’s student body to its staff. Should education-related disagreements arise between students and staff, it is the job of the Education Representative to assist in the resolution of those disputes, and to seek a fair outcome for music students. Additionally, the Education Representative represents the MSS on the Guild Education Council.
